A veteran broadcaster with decades of experience, Allen King is an AURN News Anchor and host of American Urban Radio Networks’ “Money Smarts” program, providing timely and helpful information to listeners on how to make your money work for you. Allen began his broadcast career in high school after observing the legendary Vivian Carter on air and doing an impromptu audition at WWCA Radio in Gary, Indiana. This led to his first broadcast assignment, as a weekend music announcer, which lasted until he left for college at Augustana University.

Following college, Allen served in the Air Force as a pilot. After leaving the military, he resumed his broadcast career which which landed him radio assignments at WOL in Washington, D.C., WOR in New York, WJAS/13Q/WKTQ and WAMO in Pittsburgh, prior to joining American Urban Radio Networks.
